Reunion Activities & Entertainment Worksheet
The purpose of a family reunion is to cultivate the bonds between family members and rekindle relationships. The activities and entertainment you choose can simply be a whole lot of fun, but they can also bring families closer. Consider activities that highlight family roots and history, pair the young with the elderly, bring out possible unknown talents, or honor individual achievements.
Keep your reunion or family traditions, but surprise your family by adding something new and unique! Possibilities could include:
- Talent/Gong Show: Encourage your family to showcase special talents and award prizes for the best and worst. Role play, put on skits, or play charades to "guess that family member."
- Golf Tournament: A great way to have a fun-filled and challenging day, but also to pair up unlikely partners.
- Quiz Show: A game of some not-so-known family facts for new in-laws. Award a prize to the "know-it-all."
- Family Bingo: Use photographs of family members. Who has Grandma? Award the winner a much treasured album of rare family photos.
- Family Olympics: Make teams of immediate families to compete against each other in volleyball, tennis, pool, horseshoes, etc.
- Pictionary
- Contests: Egg toss, water balloon toss, races, sports, etc.
- Line-dancing Teacher: Get everyone up and moving!
- Disc Jockey or Band: Choose a group with a wide variety of music and let each age group demonstrate dances and music of "their time." Have a dance contest for the little ones.
